It's 15 minutes of Magic.....

I am doing a Dorie rewind today, because I am not even close togetting into a kitchen. I am on a working vacaation in Michigan right now. Working at my mother's old farm/B&B, on her 5 acres of land. Weeding, cutting, pulling, mowing, pruning.......those are all things have been up to since I arrived last week. The weather has been good. I have an excellent farmer's tan...LOL!

I am dreaming of this cake when I come in at night. Maybe I should breakdown and make it, even if it includes not sleeping. Hope fully my work will be done here soon, and I will be back to the same old routine!

Tuesdays with Dorie and 15 minutes of Magic.....

Chocolate Amaretti Torte

This cake was super easy to make!
If you have Dorie's book you will find it on page 276.

This weeks choice came from Holly @Phe-MOM-enon,
who has a weakness for Chocolate, she says.
Check out her blog for the recipe here!

I decided to make two layers instead of one,
because to me a torte is more than one layer.
This would be a great cake for Passover because there is no flour.
Instead the recipe ask you to grind up some Amaretti cookies.

I couldn't find them so I ground up some almond meringue cookies.
So,along with that and the ground almond, it acted as the flour.
This particular cake was all made in the food processor,
which meant, easy cleanup......yah!

If you really love chocolate and almonds,
You will LOVE THIS!

We give this 5 glasses of milk,

for udder goodness!
